Grace

Possibly the worst evil in the world would be to kill the best human in the world, and if this human was pure love and God himself, this would be the worst evil the human mind could probably conceive of. Let's say we tried it how do we suppose God would respond? First of all, I'd think he would judge and kill like a mighty warrior those who would think this before it would ever even happen. Definitely, if it were happening, he would show forth his might, not? We know that this did happen, that God himself was here, loved us, and that we murdered him. So how did he respond? The greatest evil in the world became the redemption of the world, it became the place of mercy where the love of God flows abundantly like a fountain overflowing to all who look there. Grace upon grace! Now let's think about our own evil and wrong we have done how do we imagine God feels toward us and will respond? Do we fear and hide in guilt like Adam and Eve? Remember how he responded to the worst of all sin. It became God in Christ reconciling the world to himself. Wow, if humanity's worst became the place where the glory and love of God were most evident, will it not also be most abundant in our own personal sins? In fact, in our weakness and sin, God's grace becomes known. Let's not try to hide it and try to be better that is pride. Let's come before this beautiful Divine life and acknowledge that yes, we are weak and have sinned. This is like the man who humbles himself and goes home justified. God's grace flows like water to the lowest place, and it's not even that we work to humble ourselves that becomes pride. It's simply a realizing that we are sinners, and in this, God's goodness and presence are found. Glory be to God.
